I have yet to figure out exactly what Word by SAASTA is supposed to be. But in the process of setting up this website, and forming a vision for SAASTA, I found out that I love to write. I’ve always enjoyed it, and on occassions during my school years, experienced a profound connection with it. But I didn’t know that I would pursue it any meaningful way. I thoroughly enjoy investigating ideas and looking for interesting ways to convey them. I also like the play on words, and as I’ve been writing some of these small pieces, I feel like I’m finding a groove and particular style that’s going to signify how SAASTA writes, moving forward. Im not going to force it though, and I’ll keep experimenting. My voice can change drastically depending on the subject and my mood, which I think is a reflection of how I through most of my life have adapted my way of speak to my surroundings. I’m an adaptable person, for better or worse, but I’ve learned to let the heart speak more and power through any facade I might be putting up. I’m early in this quest, which honestly feels like an adventure about to start, but I do already see myself applying my writing to other mediums, and in particular music. Music is the most emotional medium of expression that exists, and my senses seem to be in exaggerated agreement with that. And I carry a strong feeling, that I could put down some shit. But let’s take one step at a time.
For now, I’m going to focus on the fine art of essay writing. If you’ve already read “AI”, I will ask you to take my definition of essay with a grain of salt. Some pieces are serious attempts at thinking, others are primal emotional responses. I’ve promised myself not to overthink this thing too much, and so I might sometimes succumb to not doing any at all. And that’s usually when I’m at my best. When I can turn off the switch that makes my head spin, and just ride it out based on feeling. Without that kind of laid back attitude, SAASTA wouldn’t be a thing. And if it was, it would have no attitude. I’m here to bring you some of that, and like I’ve told you at the door entrance, I encourage you to feel it. I like my house party to get hot, with blatant chemistry among all parties involved and the lingering feeling that someone will suddenly get butt-ass naked. From there, the party has been vetoed and can only continue in his or her fashion. This is my house, and you’ve now been greeted welcome. I’d like you to go explore, please make yourself at home, and if in doubt of anything, feel free to tap me on the shoulder. I’m your host.
